Dr. David Mandrus Leads on New Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI)

Prof. David Mandrus is the UTK lead on a recently awarded Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). The grant is titled “Novel Light-Matter Interactions in Topologically Non-Trivial Weyl Semimetal Structures and Systems”. The University of Southern California is the lead institution on the MURI and UTK joins Purdue University, University of Central Florida and Northeastern University as partners in the collaborative grant. For the 2020 competition, a total of 26 grants were awarded by the AFOSR, Army Research Office and Office of Naval Research from a total of 365 MURI proposals.
