Graduate Travel Information

It is an integral part of the graduate study for the graduate students to attend professional conferences and symposia. For such travels, the graduate students should abide with the university policy fi0705. To review it, click here.

Please contact Tonya Goins at the MSE department office for questions.

The financial support is usually from the faculty adviser’s research grants. In addition, the university does have limited support through the Graduate Student Senate.

In order to encourage participation of graduate students in professional conferences and also in award competitions (such as MRS student award), the MSE department has a travel award program which supports 6 student travels with $500 each in every academic year. TheĀ application form (PDF, Word Versions) should be submitted to Tonya Goins at the MSE department office. The decision will be made by the Graduate Affairs Committee.
