Kevin Sisco part of R&D 100 Award-Winning Team

MSE PhD student Kevin Sisco, advised by Prof. & Governor’s Chair Suresh Babu and co-mentored by Dr. Alex Plotkowski at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, is part of a team that has been recognized with a 2022 R&D 100 Award.  The R&D Awards, dubbed “the Oscars of Innovation,” annually recognize accomplishments from around the world notable for their technological significance in research leading to new commercial products, technologies and materials.  Kevin contributed to the project titled, “DuAlumin-3D: An Additively Manufactured Dual-Strengthened Aluminum Alloy Designed for Extreme Creep and Fatigue Resistance”, developed by ORNL in partnership with General Motors and Beehive Industries.
