Pakeltis Earns Award for Metamaterials Presentation

Grace Pakeltis, MSE PhD student, was recognized with the “Best Presentation Award” for her contribution to the “New Frontiers in the Design, Fabrication and Application of Metamaterials” symposium at the 2020 MRS Fall Meeting.

Her research focuses on developing a nanoscale synthesis process, which utilizes a hybrid of direct-write 3D nanoprinting and thin-film deposition. This dual process fabricates free-standing split ring resonators and split ring resonator arrays for the investigation of 3D metamaterials.

Pakeltis works in the research group of Professor Philip Rack.
